Jung In-seon's new man, soulmate Kim Jun-ho, made his first appearance.
In episode 13 of the KBS 2TV weekend drama Our Golden Days, which aired on the 20th (directed by Kim Hyung-seok / written by So Hyun-kyung / produced by Studio Coming Soon, Studio Bom, Monster Union), Eun-o (played by Jung In-seon) and her universally acknowledged soulmate and high school classmate Han Woo-jin (played by Kim Jun-ho) made their first appearance.
At the noisy gathering with Eun-o's classmates she hadn't seen in a long time, Eun-o, as always, sat with her trademark bright personality and radiant smile, but her close friend Woojin, who had briefly returned from the United States, waited for Eun-o alone in front of the women's restroom. Everyone assumed Eun-o was fine, but in Woojin's eyes he could see her struggling. To the embarrassed Eun-o pointing out they were in front of the women's restroom, Woojin calmly said, "I waited for you a bit," and when he asked what was wrong, Eun-o finally answered, "I thought I'd cry when I saw you," and poured out all the emotions she had been holding back.
Later, the two sat side by side on a bench outside the bar. No matter how much time had passed, Woojin remained beside Eun-o as she cried, and even though Woojin was studying in the United States and they might only see each other a few times a year, physical distance wasn't important to them.
Starting with the story of Eun-o confessing to and being rejected by the man she liked, they thoroughly updated each other on their families, and while Woojin remembered an old nickname of hers that even Eun-o had forgotten, Eun-o's mood gradually improved. Woojin, who lightly squeezed Eun-o's shoulder as she regretted the upcoming parting and said, "See you during winter break," gave a warm farewell that suggested the deep, special relationship the two had built over time.
In passing, with a hint of self-mockery, Woojin said, "Don't you know it's fate to do as you're told?" Outwardly he appeared to be the son of a wealthy family with nothing to worry about, but the remark suggested he had unspoken personal troubles.
Kim Jun-ho plays Han Woo-jin, Eun-o's closest friend and soulmate who is studying in the United States, in Our Golden Days. They have been close friends since high school and know everything about each other, including past embarrassments; they share similar personalities, tastes, values and preferences, so they can understand each other just by looking. Because of that, people around them suspect Woojin might have liked Eun-o, and to Woojin, Eun-o is an overwhelmingly precious relationship.
Despite being a newcomer, Kim Jun-ho, with his steady gaze and dense acting, quickly draws viewers into the character and situation. In this work he portrays a special friendship that keeps him at his friend's side whenever she most needs him. His warm yet delicate acting, which offers generous comfort to a cherished friend through kind words, actions and touch, is highly anticipated.
Kim Jun-ho, who debuted in KakaoTV's Love and Wish, made an impression on viewers as the problematic youth Kang Shin-woo in the Netflix series Juvenile Justice, related to the leaked test case. Opposite Lee Sung-min as the presiding judge father and judges Kim Hye-soo and Kim Moo-yeol, he received praise for delicately portraying an immature boy who is overwhelmed by extreme anxiety, fear and guilt, wounded and frustrated, with unwavering character acting throughout.
