Actor Lee Dong-gun was diagnosed with a rare disease that only 1% of Korea's population is said to suffer from.
21st, the SBS TV variety show "My Little Old Boy," which aired, showed Lee Dong-gun undergoing tests at a hospital. When Lee, whose eyes were bloodshot, described his symptoms after arriving at the hospital, the doctor said, "This is not ordinary," and added, "Taken together, these symptoms indicate a rare disease that 1% of Korea's people suffer from."
Lee Dong-gun said, "I felt a sensation like being stabbed with an awl below the trapezius muscle. It feels like a stabbing pain just by breathing," and added, "At times, I even felt it was too painful." He also said, "It invariably breaks out once a month."
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gun married actor Cho Yoon-hee in 2017 but divorced in 2020, three years later.
