'Spider-Man' leading actor Tom Holland was injured during filming and was rushed to the hospital.
The British daily Daily Mail reported on the 22nd (local time) that "Tom Holland was flown to hospital after suffering a head injury during a stunt on the set of the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day," and that "filming on the big-budget production, which cost £150 million (about 260 billion won), has been halted entirely."
According to the report, Tom Holland fell while filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, suffered a blow to the head, was taken to hospital by ambulance and was diagnosed with a concussion. The production team decided to stop filming for several weeks to allow him to recover.
Holland's father Dominic said at a charity dinner in Mayfair, London, that "my son will not be returning to filming for the time being," and Zendaya, Holland's partner, who was at the scene, also expressed concern.
The incident occurred during filming of the fourth Spider-Man installment. The film's release had already been postponed once to Jul. 31, 2026, so the accident increases the likelihood of further delays to the release schedule.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland, who is slated to appear with Zendaya in director Christopher Nolan's next film Odyssey, has fans focused on his recovery.
