Actor Jo A-ram shone with an irresistible, bewitching charm.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama Go to the Moon (written by Na Yoon-chae; directed by Oh Da-young, Jeong Hoon), which aired on the 20th, is a hyperrealism survival drama about three women from dirt-poor backgrounds who, unable to survive on their salaries alone, jump into crypto coin investing.
In the drama, Jo A-ram plays Kim Ji-song of the accounting team at Maron Bakery, an MZ YOLO office worker, radiating a lovable, effervescent charm and rising as the human vitamin of Maron Bakery, revealing a distinctive presence.
In the previous episode, Ji-song showed a bold charm with a zero-hits confidence, not shrinking from a subtly condescending boss and speaking her mind while being happier than anyone over a new pair of shoes. She also represented the feelings of office workers with a realistic performance, boasting her new shoes to Da-hae (played by Lee Sun-bin) and Eun-sang (played by Ra Mi-ran) and lamenting why new items appear on rent day.
Especially, she provoked laughter by going barefoot to run an errand for her boss but taking care of her shoes first, and to save taxi fare after an accidental toe injury she rode a supermarket cart instead. Even while riding the cart she left playful photos with an innocent, quirky charm, adding fresh amusement to the drama.
Jo A-ram infused the character, a flagship MZ YOLO figure, with her own irreplaceable charm. She pressed viewers' laugh buttons with a lovable performance and confident charm in response to dismissive remarks, and with a bright, cheeky charm even when hurt, displaying the traits of a "charm-rich" person.
Meanwhile, Go to the Moon, starring Jo A-ram, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. on MBC.
