Actor Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon's surprise dating rumors were resolved as a misunderstanding within a day. Both agencies say they did travel together, but they are not dating.
On the 20th, an online community post included a message and photos claiming someone had spotted Kim Do-hoon on a flight to Nha Trang, Vietnam, in May. In particular, claims that Kim Yoo-jung sat next to Kim Do-hoon and photos allegedly showing them together at the airport fueled suspicions that the two had taken a couple trip after taking pictures together for "Dear X". Among some fans, speculation even arose that they had posted photos taken in Vietnam as a "loveagram."
Kim Do-hoon's agency Peak J Entertainment told OSEN, "The dating rumors are not true, and the trip to Nha Trang, Vietnam, was a group trip with the drama team's director," drawing a clear line.
Kim Yoo-jung's agency Awesome ENT also said, "After confirmation, the dating rumors are groundless," adding, "After finishing drama filming, director Lee Eung-bok, the actors and staff members who could make the schedule all went on the trip together. The photos only appeared as if only the two went."
With both sides responding quickly, the dating rumors about Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon were settled as a fast-moving misunderstanding. Rather, anticipation has grown for the new TVING series Dear X in which the two actors worked together. Recently, Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Do-hoon drew attention by attending the official schedule of the 30th Busan International Film Festival side by side. Ten years ago in 2015, a broadcast camera covering SBS's 2015 Suwon JS Cup U-18 International Youth Football Tournament captured Kim Yoo-jung and B1A4 member Baro sitting together, sparking a controversy. Seeing them sitting side by side watching the soccer match raised dating rumors. The two were appearing together in the MBC drama Angry Mom.
But later actor Seo Shin-ae posted a verification photo on Twitter showing she had watched the soccer match with Kim Yoo-jung and Baro, putting the dating rumors to rest.
Seo Shin-ae posted on her SNS at the time, "After filming, the fans who rushed over to watch the soccer match. It was disappointing that it ended in a draw, but our Korea players worked hard. Fighting until the end. Angry Mom fighting," along with photos. In the photos the three people had bright expressions and were energetically focused on cheering for the Korean national team.
It turned out Seo Shin-ae had a connection with player Lee Seung-woo and was invited to the match, and later Seo Shin-ae asked Kim Yoo-jung to go together. Soccer fan Baro also joined them. But the camera captured only the two of them, creating the misunderstanding that only the two had come to watch the match.
