"Let's Go Go season 5" actors Eugene and Shin So-yul showed a cool reaction to their spouse's kissing scenes.
On the 20th episode of MBN real variety show "Let's Go Go season 5" (hereinafter "Let's Go Go"), the set of MBN's Wednesday-Thursday miniseries "First Lady" was revealed. The inauguration committee office of Ji Hyun-woo, who plays the president, and the presidential couple's residence were revealed.
Lee Min-young said, "It's a drama featuring the president and the first lady who helped him win the presidency. But as soon as he wins, the president demands a divorce from his wife," introducing the drama. Jasson said, "You worked so hard to make him president and then he asks for a divorce? How can that be?" expressing disbelief.
Jasson said, "I'm someone who builds structures, not someone who makes these kinds of details, so the props are fascinating," as he toured the set. When he learned that even the elevator structure could be moved manually, he became very interested.
Also, those who saw the family photo on the table fell into curiosity. Lee Min-young said, "Before shooting, we take photos of prop items like family photos in advance." Shin So-yul shared behind-the-scenes, saying, "But wedding shoots are problematic. Before we get familiar with each other for the project, we have to pretend to be close and take wedding photos, so it becomes awkward."
Jasson was curious about the actors' appearances. He was especially curious when he saw the large photo wall. Lee Min-young explained, "In industry terms, these partition walls are called 'gabe', and because you can't make every outside view with CGI, you create walls with photos."
Jasson said, "When you act, don't you watch the other person's acting?" Shin So-yul coolly replied, "I actually see my husband's kisses often. He's a musical actor, so I often see kissing in live theater," adding that the musical, because of its medium, must be seen live and therefore draws a strong reaction. Shin So-yul's husband is musical actor Kim Ji-cheol.
Ahn Jung-hwan asked, "But wouldn't that make you a bit hurt?" However, Shin So-yul said, "In the drama the ex-husband remarried, and the actor playing that ex-husband took care of another actor first in the waiting room. That made me a bit upset," revealing she felt somewhat resentful toward the husbands in the drama.
Ahn Jung-hwan playfully asked Eugene, "But you're getting a divorce, right?" Eugene said, "We haven't divorced yet; we're on the brink of divorce." Ahn Jung-hwan said, "From what I hear, you even helped him win the presidency, so honestly it's a bit much for the president to ask for a divorce," expressing bewilderment.
Shin So-yul laughed, "But when I saw the dressing room, it was so luxurious that I wondered if that's why she gets a divorce," and Eugene agreed, "When I first saw the set I thought it was enough reason to divorce, but that wealth wasn't brought by Ji Hyun-woo."
Then Eugene, when asked about kissing scenes, said, "When I watch kissing scenes I notice if the nose is pressed or at what angle it's visible; that's what I see. I tend to look at the technical aspects," maintaining an objective perspective that surprised everyone.
