Actor Song Seung-heon is plunged into deep grief after his mother passed away just before his drama's finale.
Song Seung-heon's mother, Moon Myeong-ok, died on the 21st at the age of 77. The funeral wake is set up in Room 17 of the Seoul Samsung Medical Center Funeral Hall, and condolences can be offered from noon that day. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on the 23rd.
Song Seung-heon, the youngest of two sons and one daughter, is keeping watch at the wake with his older brother and sister and preparing to receive mourners. Colleagues and fans have continued to express waves of condolences following the sudden sad news.
In 2020 Song Seung-heon posted on his social media, "Beloved father, mother! I am happy to be your son! Please stay healthy with me for a long, long time like now! I love you," along with a photo. The photo showed Song Seung-heon's parents in their youth and Song Seung-heon's current appearance. Song Seung-heon's parents have such remarkable looks that one would believe they were former actors. It immediately makes Song Seung-heon's godlike visuals believable.
Last year he appeared on MBC's variety program "Radio Star" and said, "I once posted photos of my father and mother when they were young on Parents' Day. My father's photo became a big topic," adding, "I think my mother was more beautiful."
Song Seung-heon is currently appearing in the Genie TV original drama "My Troublesome Star" as detective and manager Dok Go-cheol. The series ends on the 23rd.
