Positive reviews for Jeon Ji-hyun continue unabated in Disney+'s original series "Polaris."
Disney+'s original series "Polaris" follows Moon-ju (played by Jeon Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a U.N. ambassador, as she pursues those behind the shooting of a presidential candidate, and faces a massive truth threatening the Korean Peninsula alongside Sanho (played by Gang Dong-won), a mysterious special agent of unknown nationality tasked with protecting her.
On Wednesday (17th), episodes 4 and 5 of "Polaris" were released, and Moon-ju, who left her protection to Sanho whose nationality and origins are unclear, remained with him without fully removing her distrust. Then a series of incidents threatening Moon-ju's life occurred, and each time Sanho saved her life, Moon-ju nurtured both suspicion and trust. Actress Jeon Ji-hyun expressed Moon-ju's turbulent emotional changes with weight and delicacy. As Jeon Ji-hyun's singular performances in each episode make viewers around the world swoon, the high viewing rankings for "Polaris" have also drawn attention. On FlixPatrol, a site that records worldwide online video service (OTT) content rankings, the show placed in the top five of Disney+ worldwide top 10 TV shows as of the 17th. It ranked No. 1 in South Korea as well as Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan, and secured high positions in several other countries, demonstrating explosive popularity.
Touted as "another career-defining work for actress Jeon Ji-hyun," Disney+'s original series "Polaris" showcases her commanding performances. Expectations are high to see the further display of her stature as an actress through to the end.
