Singer Lee Hyun successfully wrapped up a concert celebrating the release of his new record.
Lee Hyun held "Lee Hyun mini album A(E)ND Live Stage - "Autumn(Evening)"" on the 19th at Musinsa Garage in Mapo District, Seoul, and shared a meaningful time with fans. He colored the venue with his sweet tone and deeper expressiveness, beautifully adorning the autumn night. The all-live band's performance carried emotion in Lee Hyun's voice.
This performance was arranged to commemorate the release of mini album 3 "A(E)ND." The new record's tracks, as well as Lee Hyun's solo songs, and representative songs by the group 8eight and HOMME By 'Hitman'Bang were all included to complete a rich setlist. In the segment where he directly answered fans' messages, the back-and-forth between Lee Hyun and the fans stood out.
Lee Hyun opened the performance with the digital single "Damyeo," released in April 2011. "It's been a while since I met the audience up close. This year marks my 19th year, but I will sing each song tonight with the heart of a rookie," he said with a cheerful greeting. The mini album 3 tracks "What's On Your Mind" and "Our Gravity (feat. Song Ha-young of fromis_9)" showcased delicate emotional lines. The SBS drama "A Gentleman's Dignity" OST "My Heart Is Cold," and the February 2011 release "Akdam" heated up the venue with explosive vocal power.
The final song of the performance was the mini album 3 title track "At This Point, You." Near the end of the show, Lee Hyun said, "Many things in the world change. Amid that, I am grateful to the fans who show me a mind that is not anxious. One good thing about the profession I chose is that I can breathe and sing together in front of you. I will visit more often thanks to this album," offering sincere remarks.
For the encore, Lee Hyun warmly closed the show by presenting a medley composed of the new song "To You (Greeting pt.2)" and 8eight's representative songs "No Heart," "Goodbye My Love," and "After Losing Love I Sing." The audience lit their phone flashlights and sang along, and even after the concert ended they shouted for an encore and shared a deep afterglow.
Lee Hyun is scheduled to appear at the 3rd Gwangsan MusicON Festival on the 21st at Hwangryong Chinsu Park in Gwangsan District, Gwangju.
