With most participants' song choices revealed that day, they stated their desired performance order. While most wanted the midsection, Yoon Do-hyun wrote "no preference" and received applause.
The official award criteria for the '80s Seoul Song Festival were also revealed. Yoo Jae-suk said, "There are separate judges for the Seoul Song Festival. Winners are decided by the judges' scores," and emphasized, "There will be no audience voting or viewer ARS."
However, he said that voting for the popularity award had already been completed on music streaming sites.
