Comedian Kim Byung-man overcomes the pain of divorce and is remarrying.
Kim Byung-man will hold a private wedding today (20th) at the Sebitseom Floating Island rooftop in Seocho District, Seoul, marrying non-celebrity Hyun Eun-jae, with blessings from both families, relatives and friends.
Kim Byung-man's close friend, comedian Lee Sugeun, will officiate the ceremony, and singers KCM and Choo Dae-yeop will perform the congratulatory songs.
Kim Byung-man legally married his first wife, A, in 2010, but they began living apart in 2012, pursued divorce litigation from 2019, and the marriage ended in 2023. During the divorce, the ex-wife accused Kim Byung-man of habitual domestic violence and filed a criminal complaint, but the police sent the case with a non-prosecution opinion, and the prosecution also cleared him of charges.
In 2010 Kim Byung-man registered his marriage to A, who was seven years older, and adopted A's daughter B, who was 9 at the time, as his legal child. The Seoul Family Court ruled in favor of Kim Byung-man in his third lawsuit seeking the annulment of B's adoption.
Having settled the family matters with his ex-wife, Kim Byung-man currently has two biological children with his wife.
Recently he revealed his family and communicated with the public through TV CHOSUN's Joseon's Lover. On the show Kim Byung-man said, "I used to be careful about going out because of others' eyes, but now I've changed my mind. I will no longer hide and will stand proudly with my children," expressing his firm resolve.
