Comedian Kim Byung-man announced a new start in life as he received congratulations from his children.
Kim Byung-man held a private wedding on the 20th at the Floating Island on Sebitseom, Hangang, Seocho District, Seoul, marrying non-celebrity bride Hyun Eun-jae with the blessings of both families and relatives. His close friend Lee Sugeun served as master of ceremonies, and singers KCM and Chu Dae-yeop performed the congratulatory songs.
The bride, Hyun Eun-jae, wore an elaborate see-through wedding dress and displayed a graceful figure. She drew attention with a height much taller than Kim Byung-man, and above all, their son and daughter also shone at the wedding wearing a tuxedo and a dress, attracting attention.
Kim Byung-man registered his marriage with his first wife, a person surnamed A, in 2010, but they began living separately in 2012, and from 2019 proceeded with divorce litigation, culminating in a breakup in 2023. During the divorce process, the ex-wife's side alleged Kim Byung-man's habitual domestic violence and filed a criminal complaint, but the police forwarded the case with a recommendation not to prosecute, and the prosecution also dismissed the charges.
In 2010 Kim Byung-man registered his marriage to a person surnamed A, who was seven years his senior, and adopted as his own the daughter B, who was 9 at the time and born to person surnamed A. The Seoul Family Court ruled in favor of Kim Byung-man's third petition to disown daughter B, born to his ex-wife.
After settling his previous family, Kim Byung-man found a new love. He had already revealed his new family on TV Chosun's Chosun's Lover. On the show he said, "It was the children who picked me up again. Including my fiancée, you could call us 'gu, se, ju' for three people," showing his deep love for his family.
