KBS 'Immortal Songs' reveals the story of 'Shin Seung-hoon kid' Huh Gak writing a video letter to the production team to appear in this 'Artist Shin Seung-hoon' episode.
KBS2 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Park Hyung-geun, Kim Hyung-seok, Choi Seung-beom, hereafter 'Immortal Songs') is indisputably the top music variety program, holding first place in same-time ratings for nearly 14 years. The 'Immortal Songs' episode airing today (20th) welcomes viewers with the 'Artist Shin Seung-hoon' episode.
Meanwhile, the fact that Huh Gak wrote a video letter to the 'Immortal Songs' production team to appear in the 'Artist Shin Seung-hoon' episode draws attention. Huh Gak sincerely confesses, "Lim Han-byeol said during the company dinner that he was going to appear on the Shin Seung-hoon episode. With the thought, 'But why didn't I get a casting contact?' I sang senior (Shin Seung-hoon)'s song on the spot." In fact, Huh Gak gave the 'Immortal Songs' production team a video of him singing Shin Seung-hoon's song at the company dinner, and through that he was able to take the stage this time.
On the other hand, while Huh Gak showed his fandom, he reportedly refrained from exchanging phone numbers with Shin Seung-hoon, drawing attention. Huh Gak expresses his extraordinary respect, saying, "Whenever I go to karaoke, the last song is always the senior's song. I'm so nervous." But when juniors who boast of their closeness to Shin Seung-hoon hinted that "if you talk with the senior, it's at least more than an hour," Huh Gak replied, "I think I don't need to get his number. I want to continue to respect him," prompting laughter.
Meanwhile, on that day Huh Gak raised interest by saying he would sing Shin Seung-hoon's mega hit 'Invisible Love,' which first in Korea combined pop and classical music. He reportedly said boldly, "Since my appearance was confirmed, this song was my No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 choice. I will show the ultimate in sorrow in my life." Accordingly, anticipation is building for the upcoming broadcast to see what 'Shin Seung-hoon kid' Huh Gak's ultimate sorrowful 'Invisible Love' stage will be like.
Shin Seung-hoon, the star of this 'Artist Shin Seung-hoon' episode, is a national singer known as the "king of ballads" and was the key figure who shook the Korean pop music scene in the 1990s. In this episode, a variety of juniors from different genres who follow Shin Seung-hoon's musical world gather to sing his masterpieces again.
