Actor Lee Byung-hun emphasized his exceptional love for spicy stir-fried pork.
On the evening of the 19th, Lee Byung-hun's talk at Actors House of the 30th Busan International Film Festival was held at the Shinhancard Hall in So-hyang Theater at Dongnam University in Busan.
Lee Byung-hun's wife, actress Lee Min-jung, has recently attracted attention for her exceptional love of Korean food through her YouTube channel. Lee Min-jung said she makes spicy stir-fried pork almost every day, leading to spicy stir-fried pork being named as Lee Byung-hun's soul food.
An audience member asked Lee Byung-hun about his exceptional love of spicy stir-fried pork, asking, "Did you eat spicy stir-fried pork in Busan as well?"
In response to the laughter from the audience, Lee Byung-hun smiled and said, "This is my third day in Busan. I ate spicy stir-fried pork twice," adding surprise and more laughter.
He especially said, "I didn't know so many people knew that I like spicy stir-fried pork this much," and added, "Still, it seems like a food I cannot give up," prompting another round of laughter.
Lee Byung-hun even added, "When I went to Cannes before for the film 'Emergency Declaration,' I was on my way through the airport and had to check in at the hotel, but before checking in I carried all my luggage and went looking for a Korean restaurant to eat spicy stir-fried pork. When I'm abroad I miss those kinds of dishes even more, like duruchigi. I'm such a Korean-food person."
