The episode of MBC 'Home Alone' airing today (19th) (directed by Heo Hang, Kang Ji-hee, Kim Jin-kyung, Lee Kyung-eun, Moon Ki-young) features SHINee Key enjoying a birthday date with his mother.
The released photos show Key walking with his mother sharing an umbrella. Key said, "I don't clearly remember when I spent a birthday with my mother," and to celebrate his upcoming birthday he promised to go on a date with his mother in Daegu Dongseong-ro, full of memories.
The two catch the eye wearing what looks like matching striped T-shirts and black bottoms as a "couple look." Arm in arm with his mother, Key walks the street and shares memories of his school days with her. They sit across from each other at a nostalgic favorite restaurant, and they create more memories with four-cut photo booth pictures that are essential to a date.
Before taking the four-cut photos, Key laughs at his mother's excited reaction, saying, "Mom, this is your first time~." The two's cute two-shot wearing headbands makes viewers smile.
After the date, Key is moved when he receives a surprise birthday table prepared by his mother at their family home. Unable to take his eyes off the birthday spread filled with his mother's love and care, Key is surprised when he sees the nostalgic food his grandmother used to make and asks, "Did mom make this?" In response, Key's mother says, "Mom put some effort into it~" and is pleased by Key's surprised reaction.
Earlier, to celebrate his mother's retirement, Key surprised her by recreating the nostalgic "crab soy sauce braise" using his grandmother's recipe. This time, in celebration of Key's birthday, his mother prepared the food his son has liked since childhood: his grandmother's dishes.
Key surprises everyone by confessing that "it's still in the freezer," revealing that he had kept "that dish" his grandmother made for him before she passed away for 13 years without eating it.
