Lee Young-ae's era of suffering begins.
The new KBS 2TV weekend miniseries Walking On Thin Ice (director Song Hyun-wook / writer Jeon Young-shin / produced by Baram Pictures, Slingshot Studio), which airs tomorrow (20th) and on the 21st at 9:20 p.m., in episodes 1 and 2, shows Kang Eun-su (played by Lee Young-ae), who jumps into a forbidden world to raise money for her husband's medical bills, and because of her, after-school art teacher Lee Kyung (played by Kim Kyoung-kwang) faces exposure of his double life.
In that episode, Eun-su learns of her husband Do-jin's (played by Bae Soo-bin) worsening condition and his failed cryptocurrency investments, plunging her into despair. Lee Kyung, Su-a's (played by Kim Si-a) after-school art teacher, accidentally finds a suggestive message on Su-a's phone and informs Eun-su of Su-a's changes during a parent-teacher consultation.
A stunning event occurs before Eun-su. In a bag she happens to find tucked away in the house, there is none other than drugs. She, who intended to report it to the police, soon realizes she could earn a large sum and makes a dangerous decision.
Introduced by a friend, Eun-su starts working cleaning a club and overhears customers' conversations, learning of a mysterious club MD named "James." Shockingly, that identity turns out to be none other than Su-a's art teacher Lee Kyung.
Eun-su is startled by Lee Kyung's persona, which is 180 degrees different from the one seen at school, and Lee Kyung is flustered when he sees Eun-su in a cleaner's uniform. Eun-su ultimately shows him the drugs she has and proposes a partnership. Viewers are left wondering whether Lee Kyung will accept her dangerous offer and what repercussions the clandestine partnership between the parent and the art teacher, which crosses boundaries, will bring.
The production team of Walking On Thin Ice said, "In episodes 1 and 2, Eun-su, driven to the edge, discovers Lee Kyung's identity and the full-scale incident begins. Pay attention to the unpredictable development to see what choices they make and how far they will go."
