80s MBC Seoul Music Festival' Park Myeong-su was jealous of Jannabi's Choi Jeong-hoon.
The MBC entertainment program "Hangout with Yoo?" airing on Sep. 20 (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Ju-won, Ahn Ji-seon, Lee Do-eun, Bang Seong-su / writer No Min-seon) will reveal the participants' impromptu mini stages that serve as a preview of the finals and behind-the-scenes footage in the waiting room on the day of the long-awaited final competition.
First, at the eve festival, duet stages by participants whose requests from viewers poured in will be held as a limited edition. Among them, Jannabi's Choi Jeong-hoon and Choi Yu-ri draw attention as a vocal pairing that has raised expectations to the point where many reacted, "I want to see the Choi siblings duet." In particular, Choi Jeong-hoon actively hoped for a duet with Choi Yu-ri, saying, "I have wanted to sing together for a long time."
The newly formed "Choi siblings" duet delivers a harmony that enchants the ear. Park Myeong-su, who in the past formed teams with the hottest participants at the "Infinite Challenge" music festival, wanted to duet with the hottest Choi Yu-ri this time as well. Park Myeong-su, whose hoped-for duet was thwarted, joked in jealousy, "I wanted to do this, but Jeong-hoon stole it from me," drawing laughter.
Not only the "Choi siblings," but special duets with unconventional pairings are formed only at the eve festival, raising expectations. On the impromptu stage of a male-male duet who said, "We have never sung together before," Yoo Jae-seok encouraged them, saying, "That's why this pairing is rare." Expectation also grows for the unexpected fresh pairing of Lee Jun-young and Lee Yong-jin, which received the reaction, "The two suit each other well."
At the eve festival, the strong contenders for the grand prize chosen by the participants, the awards they aim for, and the performance orders they want to avoid are also revealed. Above all, a battle of wits over the performance order heats up the venue. Among them, Yoon Do-hyun showed bravado, saying, "I don't mind being first," and Park Myeong-su declared, "What I fear is popularity," adding, "We have to catch Wooz." Also, everyone was puzzled by the unexpected declaration of an 'outsider' contestant aiming for the friendship award decided by the participants' vote, raising curiosity about who he might be.
MBC's "Hangout with Yoo?", which will feature the eve festival of "80s MBC Seoul Music Festival," will air on Sep. 20, Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
