Actor Jung Yong-ju sought another acting transformation through the Netflix series "You and Everything Else."
The Netflix series "You and Everything Else," released on the 12th (directed by Cho Young-min), is a story that confronts all the times of two friends, Ryu Eun-jung (played by Kim Goeun) and Cheon Sang-yeon (played by Park Ji-hyun), who at every moment most like and admire each other, yet also feel jealousy and hatred, and remain entangled throughout their lives.
In the drama, Jung Yong-ju appears as Hyun-guk, a key member of the photography club "Magic Hour" and a steady senior to Eun-jung and Sang-yeon. He perfectly filled the role of the club's mood maker with his distinctive friendly energy and realistic acting. In particular, his styling that fully captured the sensibility unique to 1990s college students and his unoffensive comic charm brought viewers both laughter and empathy.
Recently, Jung Yong-ju, who secured the role of "Alan Strang" in the play "Equus" against a competition ratio of 300:1 and promised a powerful stage, has built a diverse filmography across genres with works such as the drama "A History of Losers," "Motel California," "Modular Family," "Flowers That Bloom at Night," and the film "Cheongseol." In "You and Everything Else," he once again proved his scene-stealing presence by perfectly melting into the era and character, carrying both the realism and the fun of the work.
Through the role of Hyun-guk, Jung Yong-ju enriched the charm of the work even further. Expectations are growing for his future acting trajectory.
Meanwhile, the Netflix series "You and Everything Else," featuring Jung Yong-ju, released all episodes on Netflix on the 12th (Friday).
