"Our Ballad" announced expanded 160-minute programming for its premiere, showing confidence.
SBS's new music audition "Our Ballad" (directed by Jeong Ik-seung, An Jeong-hyun, Han Ye-seul, Go Ji-yeon) will premiere on the 23rd (Tue) and, unusually, will air an expanded first episode, meeting viewers for 160 minutes.
"Our Ballad" is a music audition program that shares the life ballads that accompanied every moment in our memories and seeks the new voices of 2025 who will newly sing the ballads that were my songs of that time.
Participants with an average age of 18.2 deliver moving performances that span generations by singing legendary songs and hidden masterpieces that make hearts race from the first verse. From classic traditional ballads of the 1980s and 1990s to iconic songs reflecting the ballad sensibility of the 2010s and 2020s, the expanded premiere will offer a deeper look at stages and stories from participants with diverse colors.
In particular, it is drawing great interest as a collective audition where music experts and ordinary people with strong popular-pick insight come together as a topback-ghost to discover raw gems. Jeong Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Choo Sung Hoon, Jun Hyun-moo, Park Kyung-rim, Danny Koo, Crush, Jung Seung-hwan, and Oh My Girl's Mimi are among 150 topback-ghosts who will discover raw gems among numerous participants.
Also drawing attention is the lineup of trusted producers, including Park Sung-hoon, the CP of "K-pop Star," PD Jeong Ik-seung, writer Mo Eun-seol of the 2024 Netflix global hit "Culinary Class Wars," and PD An Jeong-hyun who led "My Little Old Boy." The long-established audition house SBS, SM Entertainment—which has set K-pop standards globally and led popular music—and SM C&C, Korea's cultural content corporation and top management company, join together for "Our Ballad," making it highly anticipated.
