TVING series "Dear X" actress Kim Yoo-jung captivated the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
On the afternoon of the 19th, an outdoor stage greeting for the TVING new original series "Dear X," invited to the 30th Busan International Film Festival, was held at the outdoor stage of the Busan Cinema Center. Actors Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, Kim Yi-kyung and producer Kim Ryun-hee, CP, attended the event and talked about the work.
"Dear X" depicts the story of a woman who put on a mask, Baek A-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), who climbs from hell to the highest place, and the Xs who were cruelly trampled by her. Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, it foreshadows the birth of a ruinous melodrama suspense by portraying the downfall of Korea's top actor Baek A-jin, who hid a cruel true nature behind a beautiful face, and the desperate love of Yoon Joon-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who chose hell to protect her.
Regarding the viewing points of the work, Kim Yi-kyung first said, "I've seen a few episodes of the drama and each time I admire Yoo-jung's beauty. As it progresses, you will be able to enjoy not only her acting but also Yoo-jung's adult looks and pretty visuals," which drew cheers.
Then, after joking, "I thought Kim Do-hoon would talk about my looks," he added, "Only we are here today, but as you watch, there will be many people you will like. I think you will enjoy waiting for those people."
Meanwhile, Kim Young-dae expressed confidence, saying, "If you watch episodes 1 and 2 of our drama paying close attention to the relationships among the four here, you will feel a bit of catharsis."
Above all, Kim Yoo-jung added, "Director Lee Eung-bok, who has made many works that everyone has seen at least once and everyone loves, directed this work. Director Lee Eung-bok's direction is probably the biggest charm and the greatest pleasure of our drama," further raising expectations.
"Dear X" was selected as an official entry in the 'On Screen' section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). It proved its potential as a highly anticipated work by selling out all seats as soon as general screening tickets went on sale on the 9th. At this year's Busan International Film Festival, episodes 1 and 2 of "Dear X" will be screened for the first time. It will be released on TVING on Nov. 6.
