MBC Every1's crime analysis commentary program "Hidden Eye" will face off against Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller.
"Hidden Eye" will change its broadcast time starting Sept. 22. It will move 50 minutes later on the same day from its previous slot of 7:40 p.m. every Monday to 8:30 p.m. on the same day to meet viewers. This sets up a head-to-head battle with KBS JOY's Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller.
An MBC Every1 official said the move was made to place "Hidden Eye" in a more effective time slot in line with the trend of viewers gradually consuming content later, adding that entering a prime-time slot would increase the program's accessibility and viewer satisfaction.
"Hidden Eye," featuring MC Kim Seong-ju as well as Kim Dong-hyun, Park Ha-sun and Soyou, is a crime analysis commentary program that looks into everyday crimes anyone can experience. Each episode draws high immersion with dense topics while receiving strong responses thanks to the cast's genuine appeal.
MBC Every1 said it adjusted the time slot as a stepping stone to widen viewer touchpoints while maintaining the program's unique sincerity and fun, and added that it expects new viewers as well as existing ones and will repay them with a well-produced broadcast.
In the crime analysis commentary program "Hidden Eye," which will air at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, the "Scene three cuts" corner will cover the case of 33-year-old Jang Hyeong-jun, the "stalking attempted murderer" from Ulsan whose identity was first revealed among attempted murder suspects, and in Kwon Il-yong's crime rule it will introduce the case of a 20-something taxi driver who was drunk and sped off during commuting hours. Meanwhile, Live Issue will spotlight the "Paju chainsaw murder case," in which a man in his 50s was brutally killed and his body dismembered and dumped.
