Jung Woo-sung showed his face at an official event for the first time in a year.
At the handprinting event of the 34th Buil Film Awards held at Signiel Busan in Haeundae District, Busan, on the afternoon of the 18th, Jung Woo-sung attended in his capacity as last year's Buil Film Awards best actor winner. Jung Woo-sung, Kim Young-seong, Lim Ji-yeon, Kim Geum-soon, Shin Hye-sun, and Lee Joon-hyuk appeared.
Jung Woo-sung, reflecting on returning to the Busan International Film Festival after a year, said, "Being with the Busan International Film Festival and the Buil Film Awards is always enjoyable. As last year's winner, it is an honor to be given the right to present an award this time. What's regrettable is that I don't have a film participating this year."
Jung Woo-sung also hinted at his next film, which is scheduled to be released this year. Jung Woo-sung said, "Made in Korea is a work scheduled to open in December. It's a film that's difficult to explain briefly," piquing curiosity.
Looking at Jung Woo-sung sitting next to her, Kim Geum-soon joked, "Following last year, Jung Woo-sung is sitting beside me again, so I'm nervous," and Lim Ji-yeon, an actress from the same agency, sat next to her and smiled as they spoke together. Lim Ji-yeon had previously cheered for Jung Woo-sung when he attended the Blue Dragon Film Awards last year.

Meanwhile, Jung Woo-sung acknowledged reports last November that he was the biological father of a son born to model Moon Gabi. At the time, Jung Woo-sung said, "The child that Moon Gabi publicly shared on social media is indeed Jung Woo-sung's biological child," and added, "As a father, I will do my best for the child."
However, the two did not become a married couple. They decided to be devoted to the child as parents who are not married. Related rumors circulated, but Moon Gabi posted on her social media, "Since a day in Jan. 2024, I have not once met the person who is said to be the child's father, and I have never demanded marriage or anything else from that person because of the pregnancy."
About eight months later, in Aug., news emerged that Jung Woo-sung had filed a marriage registration with a long-term partner, and his agency said, "Regarding reports of Jung Woo-sung's marriage registration, please understand that this is a personal matter, so it is difficult to provide an official position."
At the same time, it was reported that he recently returned to full-scale activities as an advertising model, and he stood on an official stage for the first time in a year through the Buil Film Awards.
