Actor Sunwoo Yong-ye criticized Mosu, run by Anh Sung-jae, the first chef in Korea to receive three Michelin stars.
Recently Sunwoo Yong-ye released a video on her YouTube channel "Sunpoong Sunwoo Yong-ye" titled "81-year-old Sunwoo Yong-ye's schedule followed, daughter had a big fight (mother-daughter war)."
In the video Sunwoo Yong-ye, while introducing daily life with her daughter Yeon-jae, brought up a visit to Mosu. Mosu is a fine dining restaurant operated by Anh Sung-jae, known from "Culinary Class Wars," and is the first in Korea to receive three Michelin stars.
When asked by the production team about her impressions of Mosu, Sunwoo Yong-ye explained her taste, saying, "Because of my daughter I went to three Michelin places in France. No matter that I'm 80, I really hate paying that much money to go there."
She continued, "This visit to Mosu was because my daughter said, 'Mom, just once,' so I went. As expected, three tiny shrimp pieces came out as a starter. You can just think of it as a picture. An accessory for the eyes," adding, "My daughter made a fuss saying it was delicious, but honestly, thinking about the money, it doesn't taste that good. If a hearty galbijjim came out I wouldn't know, but it just kept making me think about the money and drove me crazy."
Her daughter Yeon-jae said, "Still, there were a few things my mother liked. Chef Anh Sung-jae made soft tofu himself and put sea urchin roe inside, and my mother liked that idea and really enjoyed it."
