'Radio Star' actor Jeong Bo-seok revealed behind-the-scenes stories of kiss scenes with Kim Hye-soo and Chae Shi-ra.
The MBC entertainment show "Radio Star" that aired on the 17th featured a "guilty human collection.ZIP" special with guests Jeong Bo-seok, Lee Seok-hoon, Ong Seong-woo and Woozi.
That day Jeong Bo-seok drew attention by saying he is the original master of kiss scenes and that there was a kiss scene he tried for the first time in Korea.
Jeong Bo-seok explained, "It was with Kim Hye-soo in 'Woman's Man,'" saying, "At the time the president was a symbol of high power. A mere insignificant reporter wouldn't be able to meet the president's daughter, so there were countless obstacles. Then they met at the pool, entered from opposite sides, met underwater and kissed."
He said that in another drama, "Son's Woman," he kissed Chae Shi-ra in the rain. Jeong Bo-seok said, "It involves water," but added, "I'm sorry to talk about Chae Shi-ra because she recently had a dance performance. I got a text asking me to come, but I kept postponing and missed it," expressing regret.
A following video showed the kiss scenes with Kim Hye-soo and Chae Shi-ra. Jeong Bo-seok said he was embarrassed and initially hoped the footage would not be used, but he eventually gave permission and couldn't hide his embarrassment when the footage was shown.
Kim Gu-ra, watching the kiss scene with Kim Hye-soo, said, "He overcomes buoyancy to meet our Boshik. Since he floats in the water, isn't it like forcing him down?" and Yoo Se-yoon joked, "If he had learned freediving, he could have kissed longer."
Meanwhile Jeong Bo-seok asked, "Why is it playing so long?" and Kim Gu-ra shot back, "It would be stranger if they made it shorter," prompting laughter.
Separately, Jeong Bo-seok said his bakery hit it big after appearing on "Radio Star," saying, "When I opened the bakery it was a huge hit thanks to 'Radio Star.' People lined up in front of my house and there was nowhere to park. We felt sorry for the neighborhood so we closed that location and opened officially in another place," and added, "The original location was the house I lived in. Because of insufficient parking space, we moved to Magok-dong."
Jeong Bo-seok, who said he was promoted from an unpaid to a paid employee, said, "Actually my bakery is run by my son. Because he started the business using our house, we couldn't charge rent. As I went back and forth and saw customers, I greeted customers, cleaned the restroom and straightened tables."
He continued, "It really was unpaid. After he was let go, he asked to be a formal model and started doing it for money. He gets 5% of sales as a running guarantee. We even wrote contracts and made everything clear," he said.
Meanwhile Jeong Bo-seok said he reunited with his high-kick family after 15 years and mentioned the "High Kick" family. He said, "Thanks to 'High Kick' our team did a commercial. Julien Kang, my wife-to-be Oh Hyun-kyung, daughter Jin Ji-hee, Seo Shin-ae," adding, "I was especially glad to see Seo Shin-ae. She appeared after growing from a baby into a young lady, so I was very happy."
He added, "I was glad to meet because of this connection, and it also brought revenue, so it was wonderful. Nonstop chatter went back and forth. After two days of shooting we still felt it was lacking, so we decided to meet often and created a group chat."
He joked, "The commercial we shot this time reached 17 million views in a month. I hope other products hire us."
