Actress Son Ye-jin spoke about her recent life with husband Hyun Bin at the actors house of the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
On the afternoon of the 18th, Son Ye-jin's actors house for the 30th Busan International Film Festival took place at the Sohyang Theater Shinhan Card Hall at Dongseo University in Busan. At the event, Son Ye-jin attended and talked about her filmography with Baek Eun-ha, director of the Actor Research Institute.
Although Son Ye-jin starred in the festival's opening film, No Other Choice (director Park Chan-wook), it was her first film appearance in seven years since the previous film, Negotiation. Coincidentally, Negotiation was also the film in which Son Ye-jin worked with the actor who is now her husband, Hyun Bin. A fan at the scene asked Son Ye-jin whether she and Hyun Bin discuss work.
Son Ye-jin confessed, "It's really strange, we don't really talk about work." She said, "We don't ask each other where we went. We don't ask if today's shoot was hard. We know from the expressions on each other's faces," and laughed.
But she said, "However, he was the only one I showed this film's script to. He normally never looks at scripts, but when the director originally gave the script under the title 'Axe,' he once gave it to him to read."
She continued, "Especially my husband hardly talks about work. I sometimes ask him to read lines with me. If he reads the lines oddly, he gets scolded by me. And we don't talk much about work with each other."
Son Ye-jin married Hyun Bin and gave birth to one son.
