Actor Kim Jeong-nan recalled difficult times in the past.
On the 17th, the YouTube channel "Kim Jeong-nan" uploaded a video titled "Actor Kim Jeong-nan genuinely angry while reading stories (with capital T Kim Tae-woo)."
That day, with Kim Tae-woo appearing as a guest, the two answered letters from people worried about pursuing an acting career.
Kim Jeong-nan empathized, "My own beginning wasn't smooth either. It was so hard. There were so many moments when I wanted to quit."
She recalled, "When I was in my 20s I once had no bus fare and had to walk. It was hard and I had no money. Is this the right path? Am I on the proper path? I often thought this might not be my path. When I look back on those worries, the only thing I could do well was this. So those hardships let this heart overcome them."
She added, "It's about how you overcome the hard process and finally score the goal, and I admit that's really difficult. It's hard, but even if it's hard I will go. If you have the mindset of 'I will go and see the end,' I think you should go."
Kim Tae-woo also said, "My conviction as an actor is that you get as much as you work for. I don't have talent, looks, or even good diction. I really think I have no talent at all, but because I wanted it so much I worked hard, and I can dare to give this kind of advice. I think you should reflect on what efforts you are making to become an actor."
He continued sincerely, "Work hard? I tell juniors not to say 'work hard.' How many people are like that? If you really want to do well, you have to work as if your life depends on it. There are only two things. When you think about why you wanted to be an actor and what kind of actor you want to be, it often sharpens your focus. How I am acting now amid my anxiety will be the answer that comes."
