The girl group VVS delivered a scorching first performance after new member Rena (Lena) joined.
VVS was responsible for the opening stage on the first day of the "2025 Sookmyung Women's University festival—Seonmyeonggye" held on the 17th. Even in the heavy rain, they excited the audience to a degree that was hard to believe for a newly debuted girl group. As VVS has become complete and is preparing for full-scale global activities, this will be remembered as a meaningful starting point.
Rena proved to be the final puzzle piece for VVS. She possesses outstanding abilities in singing and rapping, a refined visual presence and comedic talent, making her famous among trainees as a "hexagonal" player. As VVS is being evaluated as a K-pop group with a new texture, her addition hinted at optimal synergy.
These abilities were vividly demonstrated from the first stage. They performed every track from the first mini album live, including the debut song "TEA" as well as "Fact$," "Purrfect," "D.I.M.M" and "Touch It." Including newly reinterpreted stages of 4Minute's "Hot Issue" and iKON's "Love Scenario," they delivered seven songs in a row and shook the audience. Their energetic stage presence captured attention instantly.
Agency MZMC said Rena's addition will further expand VVS's musical spectrum and that it plans to strengthen engagement with global music fans through various stages and content going forward.
VVS, who debuted in April with the single "TEA," made a strong impact by releasing the mini album "D.I.M.M" one month later. They drew attention because they are the first K-pop girl group produced by MZMC's CEO and U.S. producer Paul Brian Thompson. Along with Rena, members Britney, Ailee, Lana, Jiu and Liwon captivated music fans with a concept that boldly broke away from conventional beauty lines despite being a girl group.
