Moon Ga-young expressed her feelings about taking on the role of MC for Mnet's band survival show 'Steal Heart Club.'
On the 18th, Mnet's global band-making survival show 'Steal Heart Club (STEAL HEART CLUB)' grabbed attention by revealing profile photos that capture Moon Ga-young's impressions about becoming the MC and her intense charisma.
In the released profile photos, Moon Ga-young conveys the energy of 'Steal Heart Club' with sharp eyes and a confident pose. She showed a powerful presence not as a mere host but as a "band curator" who will lead the participants' journeys.
Moon Ga-young said, "New challenges always bring excitement. I'm extremely happy to be able to feel and introduce band music that I have liked up close," expressing her resolve to join the program. She added, "I've often said I like bands, but when the opportunity actually came, I was filled with surprise and joy. I wanted to join without hesitation."
She also revealed a special affection for band music. She said, "I have often listened to band music since middle school. More than a particular reason, the rich sound created by various instruments together made my heart race," and explained, "I like listening to one song repeatedly and focusing on each instrument such as drums and bass; the power of small sounds gathering to fill a space is the charm of band music."
Regarding the program's unique appeal, she pointed to the fact that "even if not perfect, each person's passion and sincerity come together to create lovable and surprising stages." About the first recording, she said, "Thanks to the audience's hot energy, the venue was even more lively. I could fully feel the participants' nervousness and earnestness, which made me cheer for every performer."
Finally, Moon Ga-young urged, "People who truly love music, especially band music, are coming together to create stages full of passion. I hope that energy reaches viewers as well, and please enjoy it with us."
Meanwhile, Mnet's 'Steal Heart Club' is a global band-making project in which participants gathered in band positions such as drums, bass, guitar, keyboard and vocals compete in a survival contest to become the "final headliner band" using their music, emotions and fiery youth as weapons. MC Moon Ga-young and directors Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jang-won, Sunwoo Jung-a and Ha Sung-woon will participate, and the show will premiere on Oct. 21 (Tue).
