The BLACKPINK member Rosé is writing unprecedented records day after day with "APT."
The Black Label said on the 18th that the music video for Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet song "APT." (APT.) has surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube. That came about 335 days after it was pre-released on Oct. 18 last year, making Rosé the fastest in K-pop to reach the mark.
Also Rosé now has another 2 billion-view music video following BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "Kill This Love." Rosé is the first and only K-pop artist to have 2 billion-view music videos both as part of a group and as a solo artist.
"APT." was the pre-release single included on Rosé's full-length album rosie, released on Dec. 6 last year, and it sparked an explosive reaction upon release, creating a syndrome. "APT.", which became even more talked about as a duet between Rosé and Bruno Mars, two global artists, simultaneously topped domestic and international charts, showing a great unification of the global music market.
From its release the world was swept by "APT.", which rebounded on the Billboard charts after the carol craze passed and showed a reverse-climbing chart. Rosé, who achieved unprecedented box-office records, was also named to Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" for 2025, showing she is worthy of being the center of the syndrome.
In addition, "APT." won the song of the year award, the top prize, at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards held at UBS Arena in New York on the 7th (local time), becoming the first K-pop artist to win the category and achieving a feat of reaching the top of the global music market beyond the K-pop market.
Rosé is carrying out world tour dates with BLACKPINK's solo concert "DEADLINE," which opened at the Goyang Sports Complex main stadium on July 5 and 6.
