'Radio Star' actor Jeong Bo-seok expressed delight at reuniting with his 'High Kick' family after 15 years.
On the 17th broadcast of the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star', the episode featured a 'Guilty humans collection.ZIP' special with Jeong Bo-seok, Lee Seok-hoon, Ong Seong-wu and Woozi.
That day Jeong Bo-seok said his bakery became a huge hit after grants on 'Radio Star'. He said, "When the bakery opened it became a huge hit thanks to 'Radio Star'. So there were lines in front of my house and nowhere to park. We felt sorry for the neighborhood so we closed that place and officially opened elsewhere," and he added, "The original location was the house I used to live in. Because parking space was lacking, we moved to Magok-dong," expressing his gratitude.
He said he recently even got promoted from unpaid to paid staff. Jeong Bo-seok explained, "Actually my bakery isn't run by me but by my son. Since he ran it using our house, we didn't charge rent. While coming and going he would greet customers, clean the restroom and tidy the tables," he explained.
He continued, "It was really unpaid. After he was sent out, he asked to be formally made a model. He began doing it for pay. He receives 5% of sales as a running guarantee," and said they even wrote up a contract.
Jeong Bo-seok also mentioned that he reunited with the 'High Kick' family after 15 years, saying it felt like a reunion of separated families. He said, "Thanks to 'High Kick' our team did a commercial. Julien Kang, my former wife Oh Hyun-kyung, daughter Jin Ji-hee and Seo Shin-ae," and added, "I was especially happy to see Seo Shin-ae. She was a baby then and appeared as a lady, so I was very glad to see her."
He also said, "I was glad to meet because of this connection, and it also brought revenue, so it was great. We had nonstop chatter. Even after two days of filming we felt it was insufficient, so we decided to meet often and created a group chat," he said.
He added, "The commercial we shot this time got 17 million views in a month. I hope other products hire us," he joked.
Meanwhile, known as the 'original kiss master', Jeong Bo-seok mentioned kiss scenes with actors Kim Hye-soo and Chae Shi-ra. He said, "In melodrama it's naturally something you have to do, and there was a kiss scene that was the first attempt in Korea. It was from 'A Woman's Man' with Kim Hye-soo," he said.
He recalled, "At the time the president was a symbol of high power. A trivial reporter wouldn't meet the president's daughter, so there were many obstacles. Then we met at the pool, jumped in from opposite sides and met underwater and kissed," he recalled.
Regarding the kiss scene with 'My Son's Woman' star Chae Shi-ra, he said, "I kissed Chae Shi-ra in a place where rain was pouring. But I'm sorry to say this about Chae Shi-ra: she had a dance performance recently but postponed it and ultimately couldn't go," expressing his regret. In response, Jang Doyoun teased, "You only kissed," drawing laughter.
In the following footage, the kiss scenes with Kim Hye-soo and Chae Shi-ra were revealed. Jeong Bo-seok asked, "Why is it playing so long?" and Kim Gu-ra shot back, "It would be weirder if they played it shorter."
