Actor Park Ji-hyun is showing off her acting skills to the fullest.
In the Netflix series "You and Everything Else," released on the 12th, Park Ji-hyun left a deep impression with delicate acting that seemed to become one with the character. "You and Everything Else" is a Netflix series that tells the story of confronting all the times of two friends, Eun-jung and Sang-yeon, who at every moment like and admire each other the most, and who also envy and hate each other, their lives intertwined over a lifetime.
In the drama, Park Ji-hyun played the character "Cheon Sang-yeon," who grew up with no lack in childhood but envied the bright and warm Eun-jung (Kim Goeun), who had things she could never have, convincingly portraying the character's backstory. Park Ji-hyun layered the times of the character "Cheon Sang-yeon," from her 20s, when she struggled between friendship and love; her 30s, when, after an uncomfortable reunion, the lack that had occupied her interior since childhood reached its peak and she severed the friendship herself; to her 40s, when she calmly faced death and made final memories with Eun-jung.
Park Ji-hyun conveyed the whirlpool of emotions the character felt beyond the screen by expressing the character's wounds with hollow, empty eyes and a forlorn expression. In particular, Sang-yeon, whose emotional range had not been large throughout the story, collapses facing the truth about her brother Cheon Sang-hak (Kim Jaewon) and sheds endless tears, which evoked pity from viewers, and the final moments of Sang-yeon and Eun-jung in Switzerland moved viewers to tears. In addition, the styling that changes by age further enhanced the character's charm and drew attention.
Perfectly assimilated into Sang-yeon, whom viewers cannot simply hate and toward whom they are drawn, Park Ji-hyun made viewers share her life over the long journey of 15 episodes. Proving once again a wide acting spectrum with a work that leaves a deep lingering impression like a scar, Park Ji-hyun will appear in various genres across the screen and small screen, including the films "Wild Thing" and "Japhil" and the drama "Tomorrow, Too, to Work!"
Meanwhile, the Netflix series "You and Everything Else," starring Park Ji-hyun, is available exclusively on Netflix.
