"Gakjip couple" Kim Jeong-min asked actor Song Il-guk for help.
In the episode of tvN STORY "Gakjip couple" that aired on the 18th, Kim Jeong-min revealed the house in disarray when his wife Rumiko returned to the country. Rumiko was horrified that the blinds were broken and that a kimchi container had been left unattended for three months. After hastily sending Rumiko to the hospital, Kim Jeong-min called Song Il-guk.
Song Il-guk not only replaced the broken blinds but also cleaned the grease-stained gas stove burners and the range hood and even applied silicone to the bathroom faucet. Kim Jeong-min marveled, "His skill and sense were truly on par with a professional; housework was God-Il-guk."
Song Il-guk did more than that. At Kim Jeong-min's request, he prepared a surprise birthday table for Rumiko. Having found out in advance the kinds of food Rumiko likes, Song Il-guk took out appropriate tableware, brought table mats and a tablecloth, and set the table accordingly.
Song Il-guk said, "When I heard that my wife Rumiko said it was her birthday, I prepared champagne," noting he also had help from a judge's wife. Kim Jeong-min said in surprise, "We have been doing 'Mamma Mia' together for five years, but I didn't know he was so meticulous."
