Actor Chae Jung-an of "My Way - Obsession Club" fell hard for Kim Yo-han's charm.
On the 17th episode of TV Chosun's variety show "My Way - Obsession Club" (hereafter "Obsession Club"), Kim Yo-han, who was recently in the spotlight as "Kim Wan-sun's foreign boyfriend," appeared. Kim Yo-han, who led the heyday of South Korean men's volleyball after turning professional in 2007, lived in Hannam-dong after retirement, diligently pursuing hobbies and exercise.
He surprised everyone with his exceptional physique. Even Chae Jung-an, who is over 170cm, looked petite standing next to him. Chae Jung-an suddenly asked, "Can I hug you? As a foreign-style greeting," and Kim Yo-han accepted her request, saying, "That made my heart skip a beat." Chae Jung-an said, "I wanted to try something like this," and when they compared hand sizes she said, "It's been a long time since I've touched a man's hand. Is it okay to do this?" leaving Kim Yo-han at a loss.
Then Leeteuk asked, "There was an article saying you were Kim Wan-sun's foreign boyfriend. Is that true?" Kim Yo-han explained, "After working out in the neighborhood, I went to eat alone at a barbecue restaurant and met Kim Wan-sun. We already knew each other, so we took a photo."
Kim Yo-han's daily life was ordinary yet not ordinary. First, the scene of his feet hanging off the bed because he was taller than the bed was shocking. Tak Jae-hoon was surprised and said, "You'd have to sleep diagonally." Kim Yo-han revealed his morning routine, saying, "When I sleep my feet come out from the bed. Then blood pools. That makes me more tired. So if I stretch and then start, I feel refreshed."
Kim Yo-han's home, where he lives alone, had a terrace that offered a neat view of downtown Seoul. When Chae Jung-an found out he lived in Hannam-dong she asked again, "You live in Hannam-dong?" Kim Yo-han answered, "Yes. I live in Hannam-dong," and Chae Jung-an, asking if he lived alone and whether he had ever been married, launched into an unusual flirty background-check that left Kim Yo-han dizzy.
Kim Yo-han had long maintained his own hobby: reading and collecting comic books. Kim Yo-han said, "I have about 1,200 volumes at my Hannam-dong home and about 8,000 volumes at my parents' house," and added, "When I was young I focused on sports and didn't even know which classmates were there. So I had no way to communicate with the world. The only hobby I could do was read comics." That day Kim Yo-han was delighted after buying Tazza through a secondhand transaction site.
Also, when a Hannam-dong resident said he had arranged a blind date, Kim Yo-han couldn't hide his embarrassed smile. The neighborhood leader said, "He once arranged a blind date on his own. The woman was intelligent and very beautiful. But the blind date failed," and added, "Maybe influenced by us, he made dad jokes. When the woman asked, 'Which high school did you graduate from?' he replied, 'I graduated from AlphaGo,'" drawing sighs from everyone.
