Actor Yoon Ji-on (35), who made a name for himself after getting a fill-in opportunity due to another actor's "aiding and abetting drunk driving," is leaving the drama he was filming after being caught drunk driving himself.
On the 17th, former agency Ieum Hashtag said, "As Yoon Ji-on was caught drunk driving, he will step down from the Channel A drama 'We're Having a Baby.'"
We're Having a Baby began filming in Jul. and the script is currently out through episode 6. Yoon Ji-on took part in filming through last week, and he also had a filming schedule this week.
Yoon Ji-on's exclusive contract with Ieum Hashtag expired in Jul., and while he was looking for a new agency, he caused a drunk driving accident and has halted activities in the entertainment industry.
Yoon Ji-on debuted on stage in 2013 and began to gain serious attention with Be Melodramatic (2019). Be Melodramatic was originally set to feature actor Oh Seung-yoon, but after he left over allegations of aiding and abetting drunk driving, Yoon Ji-on got the opportunity.
Since then, he has been active in Monthly House (2021), You Are My Spring (2021), Jirisan (2021), Tomorrow (2022), My Lovely Liar (2024), and Is It a Coincidence? (2024), and last year he also took on a leading role in Love Next Door, which co-starred Jung Haein, Jung So-min, and Kim Ji-eun.
