'Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess' group cypher music video has been unveiled.
Today (17th) Mnet 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess' (hereafter 'Hip Pop Princess') released a cypher video capturing the bold declarations of contestants from both Korea and Japan.
Released as part of pre-promotion, this cypher video features four titles — "Celebrity", "ESCAPE THE SCHOOL", "SELF-STYLING" and "FREE YOUTH" — under which the contestants, divided into Korea-Japan teams, showcase their personalities and diverse charms.
Through the cypher video, the 40 contestants of 'Hip Pop Princess' demonstrate limitless concept versatility, performing styles from sporty vibes to a chic mood against backdrops such as school, the red carpet and a press conference hall. It was reported that the contestants themselves led the creation of the rap lyrics and choreography for this cypher video, demonstrating their producing capabilities. One of the appeals of this video is seeing how contestants from Korea and Japan interpret the same concepts differently yet similarly, offering distinct charms.
Above all, the contestants' pure passion and spirited rapping make the journey to discover the "raw gem" of the hip-hop girl group scene even more compelling.
