Actor Ji Jin-hee delivered a weighty presence.
Ji Jin-hee made a special appearance in episodes 9 and 10 of the Genie TV original drama "My Troublesome Star" (directed by Choi Young-hoon, written by Park Ji-ha, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Jumbo Film and Studio Bom), which aired on the 15th and 16th, leaving a powerful impact that shook the flow of the story.
In the drama, Ji Jin-hee plays top star Won-ban, reunites with Im Se-ra (played by Um Jung-hwa), moved Im Se-ra's heart with eyes that revealed long-held feelings and tender lines, and a subtle tension was detected between the two, deepening the emotional line of the story.
With his characteristic deep acting and delicate emotional expression, Ji Jin-hee, despite a brief appearance, raised the dramatic tension to its peak and made clear that Won-ban is not merely a figure of the past but still an important presence to Im Se-ra. His appearance made Im Se-ra and Dok Go-cheol (played by Song Seung-heon) more conscious of each other, heightening the tension of the love triangle.
With this appearance on "My Troublesome Star," Ji Jin-hee once again proved his irreplaceable acting prowess built up across various works, increasing the drama's immersion and adding a distinct color that left a deep impression on viewers.
Meanwhile, the MBC current affairs and cultural program "True Story," which captures the "real" stories of our society and on which Ji Jin-hee appears as an MC, airs every Thursday at 9 p.m.
