Doctor Ye Esther said she lost weight as a side effect of antidepressant medication.
On the 16th a video titled "Ye Esther's recent condition. She looks like a ghost" was posted on the YouTube channel "Ye Esther's Esther TV."
In the video the producer said, "But doctor, I hadn't seen you in a while and it seems you've lost a lot of weight." Ye Esther replied, "I lost down to 52kg."
She continued, "I lost 2kg. Recently I added one more antidepressant, and its side effect is loss of appetite. So I lost 2kg, the downside is I have no energy and the upside is my clothes fit," she said, pleased.
She added, "If I lose just 2kg more all my old clothes should fit, but if I lose too much with age I won't like how I look."
Hong Hye-gul said, "My wife had thyroid cancer surgery, she has a cerebral aneurysm, and she has asthma — severe asthma — so she often can't breathe and has attacks, and anyway now she has depression," and added, "She doesn't go anywhere. She put on this outfit because of filming. She just looks like a ghost."
To this Ye Esther said, "You used to tell me I'm pretty — do I look like a ghost? When I lie down you always come and say our chubby one is pretty."
Hong Hye-gul complained, "No, but she just lies in that bed all day. Then when she's awake she watches YouTube and orders all her meals like that. It's not that I don't have money or time — I also want to go to good restaurants."
