"J-POP.ZIP 2025" is just around the corner.
The organizer Universal Music Japan (CEO Naoshi Fujikura) will hold "J-POP.ZIP 2025" for three days from the 19th to the 21st at Space S50 in Seongdong District, Seoul.
"J-POP.ZIP 2025" is attracting attention as an event where people can enjoy Japanese music and culture for free all at once. We looked at the reasons to look forward to this "J-POP.ZIP 2025".
At the Special Live Stage of "J-POP.ZIP 2025," visitors can enjoy a free DJ stage during the day, and at night 24 artists who are active in Korea and Japan will showcase J-pop on a paid stage.
On the 19th, Blah and Miso will appear, and in Japan Tomoaki Baba, who performed the protagonist's saxophone in the popular anime film Blue Giant themed on jazz, will appear. On the 20th, Wisu and Minsu, Eve, a former member of the group LOONA, and Kyoshichi of the promising Japanese newcomer Clang Ruler will take the stage. On the 21st, Yeon-woo, Jueun, a former member of the group DIA, YonYon, and finally Crystal Kay, a popular Japan-based singer with roots in Korea, will decorate the stage.
The Japanese representative band Sekai no Owari will visit on the first day to offer support and will conduct the opening ceremony. Although there will be no separate performance or talk show, they will visit Korea for the first time in about six years since their 2019 concert to interact with domestic fans.
"J-POP.ZIP 2025" will also provide meaningful spaces that can be enjoyed for free. A "listening box," where J-pop music plays when you put your head inside a box for a unique immersive experience; a lyric zone where you can take photos with lyrics as the background; and exhibition zones featuring 18 noteworthy artists proudly presented by Universal Music are prepared.
The J-pop artists to be exhibited this time are Alessandro, back number, Brandy Senki, Crystal Kay, Kyoshichi (Clang Ruler), Marcy, Meiyo, Novelbright, Oshikikeigo, Retro Lyron, Sekai no Owari, Tenpit, Tomoaki Baba, Wanuka, Wuts, Yorushika, Yuika, and Zutomayo (in alphabetical order). With a diverse artist lineup, they are expected to showcase multiple genres of J-pop and captivate the ears of fans who visit the venue.
In addition to performances, "J-POP.ZIP 2025" will offer a variety of entertainment to give visitors unforgettable memories. The Sega (SEGA) booth will operate game experiences as well as a silent disco themed on popular IPs Sonic the Hedgehog and the Persona series and a latest titles demo zone.
Furthermore, over the three days there will be introductions to Japanese tourism and specialty products, cultural experiences, limited-edition goods and beer, and various side programs to add to the fun. In particular, the non-performance programs at "J-POP.ZIP 2025" can be experienced for free, so people of all ages can visit without burden.
