Mnet 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' ended its run with the group RIIZE's trip to Seongnam as the final journey.
The sixth episode of Mnet's Idol Festa Operation 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' (directed by PD Cho Hye-mi), broadcast on the 16th (Tue), depicted a special day for RIIZE members who visited Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and served as one-day Seongnam flower ambassadors. In this sixth festa, RIIZE capped the finale by achieving the highest sales record, completing a meaningful finale for 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour.'
RIIZE, the final contestant on 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour,' opened the sixth festa after being appointed one-day Seongnam flower ambassadors at a Seongnam flower farm. That day was RIIZE's second anniversary, and the members added meaning by personally planning special events for the audience who came to the festa. The members expressed deep affection for their fandom BRIIZE, saying, "On our 2nd anniversary we want to give fans an unforgettable day," and drew attention by carefully making flower baskets that reflected each of the six members' distinct personalities.
Before the full pop-up, the guerrilla sales mission raised the on-site excitement. TREASURE, a senior team from 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour,' boosted the mood by offering special advice to RIIZE, and RIIZE split into an initial team (Shotaro, Wonbin, Sohee) and a follow-up team (Eunseok, Seongchan, Anton) to begin the mission aiming for a sales record. While the initial team targeted university districts with high foot traffic, the follow-up team focused on subway stations and implemented a strategy of selling bundled roses, achieving results that surpassed the initial team. In particular, 'business genius' Eunseok led the team to victory with excellent tactics.
The first pop-up took place on a grand scale at Seongnam Sports Complex. The members on the pop-up truck appeared somewhat awkward at their first sales experience, but as time passed they stepped up sales efforts by showing teamwork. In particular, Sohee's noticeable growth in packaging and Shotaro's outstanding on-site response, as the only member with part-time job experience, stood out.
The second pop-up, limited to BRIIZE, also added warmth through an authentic meeting with fans. Twenty-two fans attended the event, each sharing their own special stories to celebrate RIIZE's second anniversary. There was a fan who overcame hospital life strengthened by Sohee's voice, a badminton player about to retire, BRIIZE who appeared dressed as 'Ttoolbyung-i' and 'Tonyang-deok,' and even a 'dance god and goddess' BRIIZE; heartfelt stories from fans who gained courage in life through RIIZE's music continued, heating up the mood even more.
The festa's highlight finale performance opened at the grassy square in Bundang District Office. The site was packed like never before with not only Seongnam citizens but fans who had gathered from across the country, and when the performance began with chants of "Happy 2nd anniversary," the audience's excitement reached a peak. RIIZE answered fans' support with a parade of hit songs including 'Get A Guitar,' 'Fly Up,' and 'Bag Bad Back.'
The much-anticipated sales record was also revealed. RIIZE sold a total of 4,930 flowers, setting the highest sales record in 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' history. This was an unprecedented achievement that exceeded the number of flowers that could be supplied in Seongnam, and the sales revenue will add goodwill through donations.
This Seongnam performance became a special, unforgettable 2nd anniversary gift not only for fans but also for RIIZE members. Through their signature corner 'flower time,' RIIZE moved fans by giving handmade flower baskets. Shotaro expressed gratitude to fans, saying, "Tonight is especially an unforgettable night," and the members spoke in unison, "Through 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' we felt growth once again, and our 2nd anniversary became an even more precious time." In particular, more than 8,000 spectators gathered on-site, and the event concluded successfully amid a heated atmosphere.
'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' concluded its journey with RIIZE's Seongnam performance. From TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), NCT DREAM, ZEROBASEONE, MONSTA X, TREASURE, to RIIZE, top K-pop idol groups active on the world stage traveled across the country—Gwangju, Andong, Wonju, Gongju, Donghae, Seongnam—offering special memories to fans in each region and drawing attention.
Above all, the novel plan to use regional specialties as concert tickets and offer specialties with the concert as one-plus-one (1+1) stood out. Idol members transformed into ambassadors for regional specialties for a day, creating a synergy of regional coexistence. With members' previously unseen struggles, a true festa was completed in which artists, fans, and local residents all became protagonists, and until the series finale K-pop fans' interest in 'Jeonguk Banjjak Tour' remained focused, showing a distinctive presence. This left a meaningful mark as a rare fresh concept and challenge in the K-pop scene.
