Actor Yoon Ji-on was found to have been driving under the influence and was removed from a Channel A drama.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Yoon Ji-on's side released an official statement saying, "As a result of confirmation, it is true that actor Yoon Ji-on drove under the influence, and it is also true that he is leaving the new drama because of this."
Currently Yoon Ji-on's exclusive contract with his former agency has expired, and he has recently been working on his own. A representative added, "Former agency Ieum Hashtag and actor Yoon Ji-on had their exclusive contract terminated as of Jul. 6, and since then the agency had been handling his work until he found another company."
In particular, Yoon Ji-on was caught driving under the influence and left the Channel A new drama "A Baby Is Coming" while filming, and deleted his personal social media accounts.
The new work "A Baby Is Coming" began filming in July this year, and scripts up to episode 6 have been completed. Yoon Ji-on participated in filming last week and had a schedule this week as well, but after the DUI was made public he left the production. It became a major inconvenience for the drama team.
