The group ATEEZ is setting out to conquer the Japanese archipelago.
ATEEZ released their second Japanese studio album Ashes to Light at 12 a.m. on the 17th.
Ashes to Light is the group's first Japanese studio album released about 4 years and 6 months after their 2021 first studio album Into the A to Z, and the announcement of the release captured global fans' attention.
The title track Ash strongly conveys the album's message of "new hope from hardship." Over a sound that blends fantastic textures and dynamic beats, ATEEZ's further evolved vocals and flashy rapping unfold, leaving a strong impression.
The Ash music video, released simultaneously with the song, contains various scenes symbolizing the meaning in the album title, allowing listeners to taste the gray, fantastical world ATEEZ creates. Along with the members' striking visuals, fans can also see captivating and deadly performances, drawing enthusiastic responses from local fans.
In addition, the album Ashes to Light colorfully includes a total of nine tracks: five new songs — 12 Midnight, Tippy Toes, FACE, Crescendo — and four previously released songs — NOT OKAY, Days, Birthday, Forevermore.
On the same day, ATEEZ will hold a showcase in Tokyo to commemorate the release of Ashes to Light and meet local fans. At midnight, Yunho will appear on JO1 no All Night Nippon X (Cross), on the 18th Hongjoong and Yeosang will appear on J-WAVE's Step One, and San will appear on Tokyo FM's School of Lock!, among various local radio programs to display their conversational skills.
Earlier, ATEEZ successfully wrapped up the 2025 world tour In Your Fantasy held for three days from the 13th to the 15th in Saitama, Japan. At that concert, they gave a surprise pre-release performance of the new title track Ash, which drew an explosive response; they will continue the "hot" momentum with performances in Nagoya on the 20th and 21st and in Kobe on Oct. 22 and 23.
