Actor Lee Min-jung's YouTube channel finally featured her husband Lee Byung-hun. Attention focused on whether it would put an end to the two-month-long 'BH blur controversy(?)'.
On the afternoon of the 16th, the YouTube channel "Lee Min-jung MJ" released a video titled "Finally the husband and coworkers come. Even reactions from the Venice Film Festival ㄷㄷ "No Other Choice" wishing for a big hit."
In fact, Lee Min-jung had promised to reveal her husband Lee Byung-hun's face when the channel reached 500,000 subscribers. He had appeared several times before but was always covered with a blur, bringing laughter to fans. In June, Lee Min-jung invited Yim Siwan to her home to learn about whiskey, and Lee Byung-hun made a surprise appearance blurred up to his shoulder, drawing attention.
Because of this, Lee Min-jung once complained on a live broadcast in July that "I have nightmares because of my husband's face being blurred" and said she "must offer a public apology," expressing her distress.
This time, the channel still fell short of the 500,000 subscriber target, so Lee Byung-hun appeared still blurred. But he joked, "Today I'm appearing clearly(?) for the first time in MJ YouTube history," adding, "I'm waiting for the day I can show a cool appearance without blur," warming the atmosphere with his characteristic talk. His back-and-forth with Lee Min-jung also drew laughs from fans.
Internet users reacted with comments such as "I thought we'd finally get a couple shot, but another blur?", "At this point shouldn't Lee Min-jung apologize to the public again?", "I'm subscribing because I want to see Lee Byung-hun's face", and "The blur makes me more curious."
Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun is set to appear in the film "It Can't Be Helped," scheduled to be released on Sep. 30. Attention is focused on how this "blur controversy," which has naturally tied together his wife's YouTube and the film's promotion, will be resolved in the future.
