"MZ wannabe iKON" IVE (IVE: Ahn Yujin·Gaeul·Rei·Jang Wonyoung·Liz·Leeseo) fired up "Rock in Japan Festival 2025."
IVE performed at Japan's representative rock festival "Rock in Japan Festival 2025 (ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025)", held on the 15th at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan, climbed the Lotus Stage (LOTUS STAGE), and showcased a total of 10 songs, demonstrating an overwhelming presence.
That day IVE opened with the dazzling salvo of "Rebel Heart," which swept domestic music charts earlier this year. A roar erupted the moment they began, and they immediately raised the mood by delivering solid live vocals with the mega-hit "I AM."
After greeting the audience, IVE continued with the title track "Attitude" from their mini album 3 "IVE EMPATHY," and reinforced their trusted "K-festival (festival performance)" credentials by emitting a hip mood and powerful energy with "Kitsch" and "Heya (HEYA)."
The setlist tailored for local fans also shone. From the Japanese debut song "ELEVEN - Japanese ver." stage to the OST "DARE ME" for the Japanese NTV drama "Dame Mane! - The untalented talent doesn't sell, management does! -", followed by the Japanese third album title track "Be Alright," IVE's fresh yet confident energy reached its peak, and the audience responded with sing-alongs, heating up the venue. In particular, the live stage of "Be Alright" was revealed for the first time at this performance, attracting attention.
Next, the recently released Korean single "XOXZ (XOXG)" stage unfolded. Given its strong performance on various charts in Japan and the high level of interest, the live reaction was explosive, and IVE closed the show with enthusiastic responses to the global mega-hit "After LIKE."
After completing their first "Rock in Japan Festival" stage, IVE said through their agency Starship Entertainment, "It was meaningful and precious to be able to stand on the 'Rock in Japan Festival' stage, which is loved so much locally. We were very excited while preparing, and thanks to the audience we gained a lot of strength. With the support you sent, IVE will continue to repay with good music and performances."
Since their official Japanese debut in 2022, IVE has built a solid fandom. Following their entry into Tokyo Dome last year as part of their first world tour, they drew about 100,000 fans during their April Japan fan-con tour "IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN" and proved their formidable local popularity.
Also, with their third Japanese album released in July, "Be Alright," IVE took No. 1 on Japan's Oricon "weekly combined album ranking" and "weekly album ranking," and also topped Billboard Japan's "Top Album Sales" chart, reaffirming the global "IVE syndrome."
Meanwhile, IVE will open the second world tour "IVE WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I AM'" from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 at Seoul KSPO DOME (formerly Olympic Gymnastics Arena).
