An emotive vocalist and singer-songwriter, Kim Ho-yeon returns to listeners with a lyrical song that highlights his clear, pure voice.
Music production company Donuts Culture said on the 17th that Kim Ho-yeon's "The season for just the two of us," a collaboration project song for the film "Summer Blue Hour," will be released at 6 p.m. on the 18th.
The Taiwanese youth romance film "Summer Blue Hour," which opened domestically that day, depicts the story of three young people who, during their last summer before graduating high school, express love in their own ways, protect their friendships and keep secrets in their hearts, rendered with the delicate sensitivity and stylish direction characteristic of Taiwanese youth films.
In particular, actor Shi Baiwu, who solidified his image as a first-love icon through "Somewhere I Have Never Traveled" and rising young film faces Jung Yeo-hee and Im Ja-gong play Yan Li-yao, Su Ming-yi and Qing Yan respectively, amplifying the film's refreshing sensibility with their fresh chemistry. Scenes that evoke memories of school days everyone has experienced at least once, beautiful cinematography and outstanding performances by the actors, and a story that reviewers have called a tissue-required experience earned the film strong praise from early screenings and foreshadowed word-of-mouth buzz.
The collaboration project song "The season for just the two of us" is a reinterpretation in Kim Ho-yeon's sweet, distinctive vocal of the ballad of the same name that was beloved as the OST for PL's "Love Intervention." Kim Ho-yeon sings with a mellow voice the fateful lyrics about lovers who, after repeated meetings and partings, eventually return from long detours to confirm their love for each other, vividly expressing the song's vintage mood. Also, "The season for just the two of us" naturally blends with the protagonists' clumsy yet sincere lyrical narrative in "Summer Blue Hour" and the pure, beautiful atmosphere unique to Taiwanese youth films, amplifying the audience's sense of excitement.
The collaboration project song for the youth romance "Summer Blue Hour," which captures the shining summer and the love and secrets hidden within it, Kim Ho-yeon's "The season for just the two of us" will be available on all music sites from 6 p.m. on the 18th.
