The weekend in Magok spent with popular entertainers was enjoyable.
The 1st MCT Festival was held successfully from Sept. 12 to 14 over three days around Magok Square in Gangseo District, Seoul, with the OK Joha celebrity volunteer corps and Angel Star participating and drawing a positive response from attendees.
Starting with OK Joha Director General Shin Chang-seok, dozens of entertainers including Choi Jae-seong, Lee Jong-won, Lee Jeong-yong, Bae Do-hwan, Lee Woo-seok, Kim Ye-ryeong, Han Ga-bin, Leo, Hwang Eun-jeong, Kang Tae-poong, Romina, Hyun-young, Bae Gi-seong enjoyed meetings with citizens who visited the festival through performances, experiences and donation programs.
During the festival, on the main stage at Magok Square, Bae Do-hwan, Lee Jeong-yong and Hwang Eun-jeong hosted shows featuring Ham Hyun-jin's magic performance, Kim Dong-young's face-changing act, a children's dance performance, and stages by foreign trot singers Leo and Romina. Applause and cheers also followed performances by Han Ga-bin, dubbed "the Beyoncé of the trot world," as well as "Trot-ker" Seong Yu-bin, Park Seo-yeon and Kang Tae-poong.
In a variety of programs including audience-participation prize events, comedian Lee Young-sik grabbed the microphone and displayed witty banter. The OK Joha celebrity volunteer corps added meaning to sharing by operating the "Love Jjajang Truck" and a "donation sharing market."
Angel Star celebrity volunteer corps members Bae Gi-seong and Hyun-young, together with Wellmade Korea, directly hosted a celebrity charity auction, giving festivalgoers an up-close encounter. They showcased cherished items personally donated by fellow stars, spending a joyful and meaningful time with citizens.
The MCT Festival was planned in cooperation with cultural and arts institutions such as the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and EBS, based on Magok's R&D Valley innovation infrastructure. Programs such as the 2025 Unfold X x MCT International Conference, Terra Road Beer Festival & MCT Big Concert, and a special screening for the EBS International Documentary Film Festival were also held, offering a variety of attractions for family audiences.
A committee official said the 1st MCT Festival has established itself as a convergence festival where culture, technology and sharing are combined, and added that they will continue to develop it into a representative festival that engages citizens.
