DJ Soda releases T-shirt after bleaching accident…"turning it into laughter, donating part of the revenue"
DJ Soda shared an update and unveiled a T-shirt with special meaning.
On the 15th, she introduced the newly designed T-shirt on her Instagram, saying "finally the baking soda T-shirt has been released." The product was made to turn what happened in a past bleaching accident into humor, and she explained, "I originally made it to wear by myself, but many people requested it so we decided to release it."
In particular, she said she would donate part of the sales revenue to help neighbors in need, drawing praise from fans.
In the released photos, DJ Soda poses wearing a T-shirt engraved with the phrase "Bakin' Soda" and an illustration of burning hair. The design cleverly addresses the bleaching accident and became a hot topic among fans.
Earlier, DJ Soda shocked fans when she confessed on her Instagram in July that she had lost more than 90% of her hair due to severe scalp damage during a bleaching procedure. She said, "Now there doesn't even seem to be 10% of my whole hair left. Someone said I look like an abused puppy," conveying her painful feelings.
DJ Soda posted a long statement along with a video showing her current hair condition after the bleaching accident. The photo showed a blackly exposed scalp and hair hanging pitifully only in patches.
She said, "My friends were surprised at how thick my hair was; it was strong. In my life I had never seen anyone with more hair than me," and added, "But I never imagined my hair would disappear like this."
She had been receiving bleaching treatments since the end of 2021, but recently accepted a style change suggestion from a salon owner and underwent the procedure. She complained, "I entrusted it without much worry. But I didn't know it would be damaged this much. I've never heard of such bleaching damage cases."
What was even more regrettable was the salon's attitude after the accident. DJ Soda exposed, "Without a sincere apology or acknowledgment of the facts, they instead told me to just take down the post, saying 'your hair looks fine.'" She continued, "Even now there hasn't been a single apology, and as if nothing happened, they even uploaded a new profile photo," revealing her bitter feelings.
