The music video for SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino)'s "HOT" surpassed 200 million views.
According to Pledis Entertainment, the label of HYBE Music Group (chairman Bang Si-hyuk), the YouTube view count for the title track "HOT" from SEVENTEEN's fourth full-length album Face the Sun exceeded 200 million on the morning of the 16th. It is the group's third music video to surpass 200 million views, following "Don't Wanna Cry" and "SONOKONG."
"HOT" is a hip-hop song distinguished by the blend of western guitar sounds, vividly expressing SEVENTEEN facing the blazing sun head-on and courageously forging their own path. Upon release the song topped major domestic music sites such as Melon and Bugs, and it has been loved for a long time, including being streamed more than 271.94 million times on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
The music video for the song captured SEVENTEEN's free and daring image under the concept "Shoot the Sun," receiving a positive response. The video reached 100 million views seven and a half months after its release in May 2022, setting a record for the fastest SEVENTEEN music video to reach that milestone.
SEVENTEEN has eight music videos with nine-figure view counts. In addition to the three videos that surpassed 200 million views — "Don't Wanna Cry," "SONOKONG," and "HOT" — "MAESTRO," "Clap," "Very NICE," "Left & Right," and "Rock with You" have each been streamed more than 100 million times.
SEVENTEEN opened the spectacular curtain for SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN INCHEON at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 13th–14th. They will enter Hong Kong's largest venue, Kai Tak Stadium, on the 27th–28th. Tickets sold out early. The tour continues to five North American cities in October and four dome stadiums in Japan in November–December.
