MBN's new Wednesday-Thursday miniseries First Lady raises emotion with an overwhelming-scale "warm embrace" scene presented by Yoo Jin and Ji Hyun-woo after confirming the presidential election victory.
The new MBN Wednesday-Thursday miniseries First Lady, which premieres at 10:20 p.m. on the 24th (written by Kim Hyung-wan, directed by Lee Ho-hyun), depicts a story in which an unprecedented incident occurs in which a husband who has been elected president demands a divorce from his wife who is to become first lady.
Yoo Jin, Ji Hyun-woo, Lee Min-young, Han Su-a. Shin So-yul, Kim Ki-bang, Oh Seung-eun and other reliable actors portray, with tight performances, the political conspiracies and family secrets that surface amid the breathless conflicts of the president-elect couple during the 67 days remaining until the presidential inauguration, moving the story along at a brisk pace.
In this regard, Yoo Jin and Ji Hyun-woo captivate viewers by unfolding a heated "warm embrace" scene in which they reveal the joy of the confirmed presidential election victory while the public watches. In the drama, while the public cheers waving light sticks, Cha Soo-yeon (played by Yoo Jin), who has become first lady, faces Hyun Min-chul (played by Ji Hyun-woo), who has been confirmed as president-elect. Cha Soo-yeon, who arrived at the event first, waits for Hyun Min-chul filled with overwhelming joy, and Hyun Min-chul enters with the majestic charisma befitting a president chosen by the people. In front of countless flashes and citizens chanting his name, Cha Soo-yeon, eyes brimming with tears, pulls Hyun Min-chul toward her and Hyun Min-chul leans into Cha Soo-yeon. But soon Cha Soo-yeon sheds tears while Hyun Min-chul wears a heavy, hardened expression, intensifying curiosity as the curtain rises on an unexpected twist.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jin and Ji Hyun-woo proved their worth as top-tier actors while filming the overwhelming-scale "celebration of the president-elect" scene that mobilized a large crowd. Yoo Jin convincingly portrayed the instantaneous emotional shifts from ecstasy to tension and even anxiety, completing the dignity of the first lady. Ji Hyun-woo heightened immersion by conveying the weighty seriousness of a president-elect and a range of emotions toward his wife Cha Soo-yeon with earnest eyes and restrained expressions.
The production team said, "This scene is an important motif that foreshadows the twists of First Lady," and added, "Starting with this scene, intense shocks and suspense will unfold from the first broadcast of First Lady. It will leave a tremendous impression on viewers' minds," expressing confidence.
