Entertainer Shin Dong-yeop, 54, and his wife, TV director Sun Hye-yoon, said their daughter was admitted to college.
On the 15th, Sun shared her joy on the family-run social media (SNS) account for their pet dog "Cream," writing, "Mom has been really busy, right? Now that your older sister got into college, I have a bit more time, so I'll try to post updates about Cream more often." She did not disclose the name of the college.
She added, "But we have a middle school third-grader at home. Next month we'll be busy again with high school entrance," noting her son in ninth grade.
Shin Dong-yeop and Sun first connected in 2004 through the MBC variety show "Sunday Night – Shin Dong-yeop's Love House." At the time, Shin was the host and Sun was an assistant director, and they grew closer while working together. The two married in 2006 and have a daughter born in 2007 and a son born in 2010.
Last year, on a YouTube channel, Shin looked back on that time and shared a dating anecdote, saying, "There's almost no reason for an MC and an assistant director to talk separately, but I pretended to drop by the editing room just to see her face."
In response to the news, online users left a stream of congratulatory messages, saying, "Time flies, already a college student," "Congratulations on your daughter's admission," and "Please keep sharing good updates."
