The new KBS 1TV daily drama Marri and the unusual dads, set to premiere Oct. 13 (directed by Seo Yong-su, written by Kim Hong-joo), is a drama that depicts Mari's long search for her father and the birth of an unusual family whose bonds are deeper than blood and more persistent than sperm.
Ha Seung-ri plays Kang Mari, the girl's head of household who, while living with irresponsible family members, naturally acquires venom and persistence, and Hyun-woo plays Lee Kang-se, the personification of tenderness with a soft yet strong inner self. The two, who developed from medical school seniors and juniors into a relationship that deepened into love, one day face an unexpected upheaval when Mari has "three dads."
On the 16th (today), the production team of Marri and the unusual dads released two shots of Ha Seung-ri and Hyun-woo exploding with affectionate chemistry, raising interest in the first broadcast.
In the released stills, Ha Seung-ri and Hyun-woo gaze at each other with honey-dripping looks that make viewers swoon, and their pose leaning on each other in the car shows their relationship deepening in trust.
Meanwhile, in another still, Ha Seung-ri and Hyun-woo cling tightly to each other but exude an inexplicable unease with eyes that seem lost in different thoughts. Tension rises over whether the two can overcome the huge events to come with the power of love.
The production team of Marri and the unusual dads said, "Ha Seung-ri and Hyun-woo have perfect chemistry and perfectly embody the image of affectionate lovers," and added, "Please show much interest and expectation for the events and episodes the two will go through."
Meanwhile, KBS 1TV's Marri and the unusual dads, which brings together director Seo Yong-su, who will show delicate directing, and writer Kim Hong-joo, who will captivate viewers with fluent writing, will premiere Oct. 13 as the successor to Catch Your Luck.
